Rosemary J. Brown was born in northern Quebec and spent her childhood in the Temagami region before moving to Hamilton, Ontario. She moved to Picton in November, 2001. She has taken fine art courses at Ontario School of Art and Design, McMaster University and the Dundas Valley School of Art. She has degrees in philosophy and social work from McMaster.

Rosemary's paintings have been exhibited at:

  2. Cannington House Gallery, Bronte * Dundas Valley School of Art, annual auctions

  3. Prince Edward County "Art in the County" annual juried art show, 2002

She has had an associate membership at the Dundas valley School of Art and is an alumnus of that school. She was also a member of the Carnegie Gallery. Since

moving to the County she has become a member of the Prince Edward County Arts Council.

Rosemary is known for her pastel landscapes but more recently she has also been working in acrylics.
