Market Value: $820.
The old stone Waring House as it is known on the outskirts of Picton, was built in 1860 by a stonemason named Hugh Smith for the Waring Family. Joshua Waring and his family arrived from Ireland in about 1820 and built a previous smaller structure but after years of farming the land, they were able to afford and build the more substantial stone house that is home to the landmark Waring House Pub and Restaurant that resides there today.
